Aztor 40mg Tabs 30’s – Aztor 40 mg tablets contain atorvastatin which is used in the treatment of high cholesterol and high triglycerides. Aztor 40 mg Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers “bad” cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises “good” cholesterol (HDL). It helps prevent heart attack and stroke.

How to use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aztor 40 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time preferably at night.

Precautions:
Aztor 40 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy and probably safe to use during lactation. Aztor 40 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease however it should be used with caution in patient with liver disease and dose adjustment may be needed. Taking Atorvastatin with alcohol may increase the risk of liver damage. If you miss a dose of Aztor 40 mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
